My approach

Therapy that looks beneath the symptom.

I work collaboratively and with warmth, curiosity, and honesty. Rather than treating individual symptoms and isolated problems, we look at the patterns underneath them, patterns you may understand intellectually but still feel stuck in.

I can help you understand how earlier experiences shape your expectations of yourself and others, and from there, we work toward new ways of responding that feel more flexible, secure, and aligned with who you want to be.
I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy as a basis for my work.

The goal is not simply to cope better. It is to help you access the resilience already within you and create lasting change from the inside out.

What is EMDR?

EMDR is a different way to process what still feels unfinished. It is a structured therapy associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotional charge associated with the traumatic memories and experiences. Unlike talk therapy, EMDR focuses less on the details of the event and more on the emotional and physical symptoms that result from it. By activating both sides of the brain, we help your nervous system move past the stuck points where trauma resides, allowing for natural healing and a sense of resolution.
